Issues and Limitations
Marzipan is an active research project, and some of its features are
unpolished, or restrictively simple, including:
- Obtains its configuration only at boot time.
- Incomplete interface for dynamically stopping and starting
virtual machines.
- Unoptimized for multiprocessor.
- Lacks interrupt sharing (when reusing isolated device drivers).
- Allocates contiguous blocks of memory to virtual machines. We
may eventually release our flexible, paged memory support.
